About the MOC

This is a MOC of the Titan IIIC rocket as it looked like on its seventh flight with the IDCSP 8 to 15 satellites onboard. The boosters can be separated from the core stage. The second stage can be separated from the core stage and the third stage (transtage) can again be separated from the second stage. The fairing does not hold any space for a payload.

About the rocket

This Titan IIIC was launched in 1966 and failed to reach orbit. The Titan IIIC rocket was manufactured by Martin. It was first launched in 1965 and its last launch was in 1970. The first stage is powered by a LR-87-AJ-9 rocket engine with two solid fuel boosters. The second stage is powered by a LR-91-AJ-9 and the third stage is the transtage which is powered by two AJ-10-138s.
