About the MOC
This is a MOC of the Atlas V 401 rocket with the LRO and LCROSS payloads. It features a Centaur upper stage with a single engine. It can be detatched from the core stage. This rocket has no boosters. The fairing holds some space to hold a small payload, there are no spacecrafts included in this MOC though. There also are two variants of the rocket, one being the frosted variant, what the rocket looks like during launch and a non frosted variant. The MOC also includes a small stand.
About the rocket
This rocket is a variant of ULAs Atlas V rocket with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite as its payloads. It features no side boosters, a centaur stage with a single engine and a 4 meter diameter payload fairing. It launched on the 18th of June in 2009.
